With a customised hose for drinking water applications, the Masterflex Group is once again underlining its high level of development expertise in the field of technical connection solutions. The flexible TPE film hose has been specially designed for use in confined installation situations between two drinking water storage tanks - where standard solutions reach their limits. The hose is suitable for both cold and hot water applications up to +60 °C and fulfils the requirements for a safe and reliable drinking water supply. With earthing on both sides of the spiral, it can also be used for aspirative and pneumatic conveying of non-flammable dusts and bulk materials in Zone 22 and for conveying gases and liquids with low conductivity in Zone 2.

The starting point for the project was a challenging application: there was hardly any space between two storage tanks, repeated leaks and a high level of installation effort impaired system reliability.
Masterflex analysed the situation on site and developed a customised special solution on this basis - a TPE film hose with moulded sockets on both sides that is precisely tailored to the cramped installation situation.
