Connection solutions – discover metal clamps, articulated clamps and other connection technology!

Metal clamps for industrial applications

Masterflex Group Circular metal clamps and connectors are the right choice for industrial companies wishing to combine secure connection technology with circular economy objectives. They are robust, detachable, reusable and, as a metallic solution, can generally be easily integrated into existing recycling loops.

Where hoses need to be reliably connected to fittings, sockets or flanges, metal clamps ensure stability, safety and ease of installation. At the same time, they lay the foundation for a connection technology that is not only functionally sound but also designed with the future in mind.

Why recyclable metal clamps are becoming increasingly relevant

In many industrial applications, the connection determines the reliability of the entire system. This is precisely why metal clamps play such an important role: they secure hoses reliably, can be loosened again depending on the design, and can therefore be integrated into reusable, service-friendly and circular economy-oriented concepts.

The advantage of metal is obvious: many metal clamps and other connectors are not only durable but also reusable. Furthermore, metal is generally a highly recyclable material. Take advantage of Masterflex Group Engineering Services for bespoke development solutions and let us advise you on how we can further support you with our Circular Solutions.

Not just metal clamps – a wide range of metal hose connectors

Masterflex Group metal hose couplings are suitable for the transport of solid, liquid and gaseous media in a wide range of industrial applications. Materials such as stainless steel, aluminium or galvanised sheet steel offer a wide range of functional applications and ensure a secure connection between the hose and the fitting. So, don’t lose the connection!

For us, a hose plus the right connection technology equals a hose system. Are metal clamps not the ideal choice for you? We’ve got more! We’d be happy to advise you on selecting the right connection solution for your application. Solutions that combine conical flanges with quick-release clamps are particularly easy to install. In addition, our range includes other metal and plastic connectors such as:

  • conical flanges, conical flanges with metal spigots
  • Weld-on conical flanges
  • Clamp connections with sealing ring
  • Quick-release clamps

Metal clamps & stainless steel connectors for high-performance hose systems

Your production must run smoothly: reliably, cleanly and without unnecessary downtime. Whether it’s filling, packaging, conveying or processing foodstuffs: it is not just the hose that matters, but a perfectly coordinated complete system.

The Masterflex Group supplies more than just individual components: high-quality connection technology, recyclable metal clamps, as well as ready-to-install hose assemblies and hose sets. For compressed air, vacuum, gases, liquids, and applications in electrical and electronic systems. From engineering through to manufacturing and assembly – all from a single source.

Our stainless steel connectors are ideally suited to universal hoses and spiral-free smooth hoses. Choose straight screw-in fittings, T-fittings, T-screw-in fittings or angled screw-in fittings for the quick and secure fitting and removal of compressed air hoses made from PE, PA and PU.

Manufactured from corrosion-free and acid-resistant stainless steel grades 1.4301 and 1.4307, the fittings are designed for temperatures ranging from –20 °C to +120 °C and working pressures from –0.95 to 16 bar. The VTF sealing material withstands temperatures ranging from –30 °C to +200 °C in static applications.

Frequently Asked Questions about Hoses for the Food and Pharmaceutical Industries

  • Why are dead spaces in hose and connection systems a cause for concern?

Dead spaces can harbour product residues, moisture and germs, thereby adversely affecting hygiene, cleanability and product safety.

  • When is an antistatic FDA-approved plastic tube a good choice?

Prevent the ‘Big Bang’ caused by dust explosions! An anti-static, FDA-approved plastic hose is particularly useful when conveying powders such as flour, as it safely dissipates electrostatic charges.

  • What is an FDA-approved plastic tube?

An FDA-compliant plastic hose is a plastic hose made from a material that meets the relevant FDA requirements for contact with food. This can encompass a wide variety of hose types and products. Many hoses also meet other relevant compliance standards.

  • How do I choose the correct food grade hose?

Selection depends on the media being conveyed, operating temperature, pressure requirements, flexibility needs and regulatory requirements. Our technical team can help identify the best solution.

  • Are antistatic food hoses available?

Yes. Several products within the range feature permanently antistatic properties for safer powder and granule conveying.

  • What industries use food grade hoses?

Food processing, beverage production, pharmaceutical manufacturing, dairy processing and packaging industries commonly use food grade hoses.

  • Are Masterflex food hoses FDA approved?

Many products within this range comply with FDA requirements and EU 10/2011 food-contact regulations. Always check the individual product datasheet for specific approvals.

  • What is a food grade hose?

A food grade hose is designed for the safe transfer of food, beverages, powders and pharmaceutical products. It is manufactured from materials approved for food contact applications.
