With a custom-designed hose for drinking water applications, the Masterflex Group once again demonstrates its high level of development expertise in the field of technical connection solutions. The flexible TPE film hose has been specially designed for use in confined installation spaces between two drinking water storage tanks – where standard solutions reach their limits. The hose is suitable for both cold and hot water applications up to +60 °C and meets the requirements for a safe and reliable drinking water supply. Furthermore, when the spiral is earthed at both ends, it can be used for the aspirated and pneumatic conveyance of non-combustible dusts and bulk materials in Zone 22, as well as for conveying gases and liquids with low conductivity in Zone 2.

The project began with a challenging application: limited space between two storage tanks, recurring leaks and a high level of installation complexity were compromising the system’s reliability.
Masterflex analysed the situation on site and, on this basis, developed a bespoke solution – a TPE film hose with moulded sockets on both ends, precisely tailored to the confined installation space.
